Later, after a year, his wife Malavika Hegde takes charge o coffee day as the new CEO on Dec 7th, 2020. After the death of Siddartha, the company has been saving pressure to repay debts.

Malavika, along with the grief of his husband’s death had to deal with the company’s debts and promise the shareholders and 25,000 employees whose whole living was depended on this organization. Any human would break down but Malavika does the impossible.

She stood strong taking the brave path and addressed every employee & shareholder and promised to bring back Coffee Day to profits and clear debts.

With more than $500 million in debt on March 31, 2019, at the death of her husband had been reduced to around $200 million on March 31, 2021, by Malavika Hedge with her tenacious mindset. This shows her courage and strength mentally. This challenge which she faced with a strong mind is not just a sample but also light & hope for many people.
